I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
